Low clouds, mist, and fog roll into the Basin through the Window, engulfing the canyon flanked by Amon Carter Peak (left) and Vernon Bailey Mountain (right) early one morning. This photo was taken from a high ridge near the end of the road to the group campground. The ridge I'm standing on obscures this view from the campground; many of my fellow campers were unaware that this ghostly mist was here.
