The brochure describing the wonders of Yankee Boy Basin has this to say about the side road to Governor Basin: "narrow and treacherous--not recommended." A 4WD guidebook calls it "a narrow shelf road that is much more difficult than the Yankee Boy road." I didn't take it, but it supposedly provides access to breathtaking scenery and numerous historic ruins. This shot provides a teasing glimpse up into the basin.
